Hi! I’m Laura Donovan, the author of the memoir MOMTISTIC (Cynren Press, September 2026). My book is about discovering my autism at 35 after both my boys were diagnosed. I’m an erstwhile online media and television professional, a mother of two neurodivergent children, an autism advocate, and, oddly enough, a camp counselor having the time of my life after decades working behind a computer.

When I’m not working with kids, you can find me reading, at the gym (I never miss a workout as a former prediabetic), or writing. I write a lot about neurodivergence and motherhood. I’ve recently been interviewed about it on Substack, the podcast True Crime & Hollywood, and on Matt Lewis & The News. My work has appeared in Romper, SheKnows, ATTN:, HelloGiggles, Mic, and Business Insider, among other publications. I co-wrote the Facebook Watch series Open Secrets with Ashley Graham. Originally from LA, I live in Portland, Oregon with my family.
